MISS CLATSOP COUNTY WINNERS!

Approximately 450 people watched as three young women were crowned Miss Clatsop County 2017, Miss Clatsop County’s Outstanding Teen 2017, and Miss North Coast’s Outstanding teen 2017 Saturday March 11th. Over $6100 in scholarships were awarded in 22 categories of competition to the young women vying for the crown.
20-year old Hannah Garhofer of Seaside walked away with $2050 in scholarships after sweeping all the Preliminary Awards, Platform Presentation, Service Above Self, Marketing and Entrepreneurial Awards, and was crowned Miss Clatsop County 2017.
A 2015 graduate of Seaside High School, she is currently enrolled at Northwest Christian University and will pursue her platform “Live your Dash- Leave your Legacy.” Hayliehe Bell of Seaside named Runner-Up in the Miss Division also came away with $525 in scholarships.
Winning the Miss Clatsop County’s Outstanding Teen 2017 was 13-year-old Peyton Sims of Gearhart. After winning the overall Teen Interview, Talent, and Eveningwear Preliminaries she will receive a total of $825.. The Miss North Coast’s Outstanding Teen 2017 title was awarded to Nicole Ramsdell of Astoria who will receive a $525 scholarship for her efforts.
A peer vote awarded Garhofer Miss Congeniality in the Miss Division, Peyton Sims was named Miss Teen congeniality and a random draw selected 7-year-old Taylor Betts of Gearhart as Miss Clatsop County’s Princess. Taylor Betts will accompany Garhofer on stage at the Miss Oregon competition and will attend events throughout the county. All title holders will move forward to the Miss Oregon and Oregon’s Outstanding Teen competition in late June in Seaside.
