For those of you who are physically active and looking for new things to experience, the North Coast Trail Alliance, may be a great place to put all that energy.
The group is currently in the process of clearing and cutting over 40 miles of top notch, world class Mountain Bike trails on Lewis & Clark timberlands, beginning at the Klootchy Creek park 2 miles south of Seaside Oregon.
The mission statement of the alliance is to “Improve mountain biking opportunities on the North Coast for residents and visitors for generations to come.”
Longterm visioning includes encouraging:
*Economic opportunities for this untapped fast growing recreational activity.
*Create the first destination mountain bike opportunity on the North Coast.
*Build a connecting trail to downtown Seaside
*Access stunning views of the coastline
* Promote a healthy natural form of recreation for all ages, ability levels and user experiences.
The NCTA is looking for both financial support and volunteers to help cut and build these trails.
