CITY OF WARRENTON FINALIZES “HOMESTAY” REGULATIONS.

Over the past six months, the Warrenton City Commission and staff have worked on updating regulations and policies to address the growing number of short-term rentals within the city of Warrenton.

On January 8, 2019 the City Commission approved new “homestay lodging” safety regulations that will go into effect on January 22.

As a result, the City is offering a grace period to allow currently operating short-term rentals to register and comply with new safety requirements.

We ask that you submit an application, including a business license and a TRT (Transient Room Tax) registration form. After all improvements are made, the owner must request an inspection by the City of Warrenton to verify compliance.
