Steve Harold Lovejoy was born in Elkhart, Indiana on March 12, 1959 to Harold and Anna Lovejoy. It is with great sadness that the family of Steve Lovejoy announces that he departed this life on April 6, 2018 at the age of 59. Steve will be forever remembered by his wife, Karen, step daughter Christine and stepsons, Alan and Brian. Steve will also be fondly remembered by his granddaughters, Alisa and Grace and great-granddaughter, Addilyn.
In addition to his family, Steve touched the lives of many friends who are dear enough to be an extended family.
Those who knew Steve would say that he had a deep appreciation for life. It was the experiences that were shared with friends and family that made it all worthwhile.
One memory that stands out is how much enjoyment Steve got when he rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was known for saying how he loved having ‘the ‘‘freedom of the wind his face’. In 1990 he and Karen got to do something that many dream of doing when they bought a commercial tractor and trailer and trucked through all 48 States.
In 2012 Steve got to work for Nygaard as a log truck driver. For Steve this was a match made in heaven. Not only did he enjoy the job but he loved the people he worked with.
Steve was loved by many and his presence will be missed.
A Celebration of Life is in being planned and will be held at a later date.
