Jon Riekkola Loved by Warrenton School kids and Staff Alike
Keep His Memory Alive thru Backpack Program.
Jonathan Riekkola, known to everyone as “Jon”, passed away on February 25, 2017 due a terminal illness.
He was an employee at Warrenton High School, where the students meant a world to him. During his illness, he was very touched by the love he received from the students and other WHS employees. A book containing special wishes and greetings from the school was especially meaningful for him, and Jon showed it to many visitors at his home during his last weeks.
His memorial service was held at Coastline Christian Fellowship on March 4th. The service was packed with family, friends and people who have known Jon from many walks of life. Most importantly everyone learned more about a man who loved his family and all people in his life.
Jon’s wish was to have donations made in his memory to the Food Backpack Program (see story above).
