Walter Gerold ‘Jerry’ Buckman

Walter Gerold “Jerry“ Buckman, 82, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at his home in Raymond, Washington.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1934, in Calvary, Kentucky, to Francis and Joseph Buckman.
He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He worked and retired from the Pacific County Court House in South Bend, Washington. He enjoyed his retirement and was raising his great-grandson, Jerry, who kept him busy and made him happy the last 11 years.
He enjoyed music, Western movies and computer programming and he was a collector of all gadgets.
Gerold was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Joseph; first wife, Thelma; and a son, William. Gerold is survived by his daughter, Geraldine; his sons, Dennis, Jerry, Randy and Johnny; his ex-wife, Carolyn; his brother, Paul; his sisters, Betty, Carol, Jean, Joan and Irene; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life and honor guard ceremony for family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the American Legion, located at 221 Duryea St. in Raymond, Washington. A service will be held on Feb. 25, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 245 Jackson Ave. in Raymond, Washington.
