We are delighted Flannel John will be bringing us weekly recipes that will be sure to stretch the imagination of any adventurous cook.
If you like classic rock and like to eat, have I got some recipes for you! I like puns….the cheesier the better. So for those that grew up on 1970s and 1980s radio…these dishes will give you a mouth and an earful.
FLEETWOOD MAC & CHEESE
8 ounces of macaroni shells
8 ounces of sour cream
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 cups of cottage cheese, small curd
2 cups of shredded American cheese
2 teaspoons of butter
¼ cup of soft breadcrumbs
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of pepper
Cook macaroni according to the package directions and drain. Combine macaroni, egg, cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and cheeses and stir well. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish. Combine breadcrumbs and butter, stir well, and sprinkle over macaroni. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes.
