Gary Maxon Wing

Gary M. Wing, who lived from Jan. 27, 1948, to Jan. 30, 2017, passed away peacefully at home due to natural causes.
Gary was born and raised in Astoria, Oregon, were he graduated from Astoria High School.
He served in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged after receiving a Purple Heart.
Gary worked at the plywood mill in Astoria for several years until moving to Gladstone, Oregon, to work for the U.S. Postal Service. Gary retired from the postal service and moved to Sheridan, Oregon, to be closer to family.
Gary is survived by his three children Michael, Theresa and Catherine; and his five grandchildren Breton, Marissa, Juliana, Quinton and Aleena.
A private service was held Tuesday.
