Wilma M. Johnson

Wilma M. Johnson passed away Feb. 2 in Fairfield, California.
She was born in Lambert, Oklahoma, and attended Northwestern College in Alva, Oklahoma. She later moved to Kansas, and was working for Boeing when she met Alven Johnson, who in 1946 became her husband.
Wilma moved to Astoria, Oregon, in 1946 and finally to Benicia, California, in 2011.
Wilma loved cooking, baking, traveling and camping. She enjoyed watching basketball and tennis and her favorite team, the Oregon Ducks. Wilma was walking and doing aquatic exercise into her 90s.
She is survived by her son, Larry Johnson; daughter, Vicki Lathrop; grandchildren, Brian and Stuart Johnson and Jeremy and Rian Lathrop; and her great-grandchildren, Allison, Emilia, Kalevvi and Taavi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alven G. Johnson, in 1983.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, Oregon.
