MOCHA MELTDOWN?

From the APD-Police Files

By Shaylyn French

If you are a coffee lover, chances are that nothing beats that first sip of a freshly made espresso from your favorite coffee shop / drive thru stand or the coffee you brew at home right? If you are a coffee chain stand lover of places like Starbucks or Dutch Bros, it is easily understood that it’s all about the customer service. It’s also pretty normal that if you have an issue with your beverage, your barista will most likely go out of their way to make another drink at no charge, without argument. However, should you experience poor customer service, please be advised that throwing your coffee everywhere in reaction will only result in a police officer escorting you out of the store and issuing a no trespass order for that particular place of business.

Be Kind, Courteous, and At The Very Least Request a Manager

Earlier this week, reports were called into Astoria Dispatch about a customer who was upset at the service he received from Safeway Astoria Starbucks. The man was so upset that instead of taking his coffee and simply leaving or asking to speak to a manager about the poor service he claimed to receive, he instead responded by throwing coffee all over the place. The man was escorted off the property by APD and was given a no trespass order. Remember to be courteous to those who work in customer service positions and should you have a poor experience, communicate it to the right management professional instead of taking matters into your own hand.
