National Beach Cleanup Tour "Do It For The Beaches" @ Seaside Beach

Ocean Blue Project focuses on cleaning the ocean and creating awareness to reduce the use of plastic. We are collecting microplastic fragments on every visit to the Oregon Coast year round. This project is a community effort and all Oregonians are asked to participate. If we all do a little, we can achieve a lot.

Ocean Blue Project will be filming and interviewing volunteers in an ethnographic study about thoughts of marine debris. The documentary will highlight beach debris picked up at each beach cleanups across on the West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast during the National Beach Cleanup Tour 2018

The microplastic fragments are easy to pick up so it’s fun for everyone. It doesn’t cost anything to join this monumental movement. Simply pick up some plastic fragments next time you go to the beach. That’s it. Sharing on social media is also another way to create awareness.
