In Their Footsteps: Carol Lucas @ Fort Clatsop Visitor Center
Jan 21 @ 1:00 pm

It would have been customary for Jefferson to have sent a botanist on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. One of the many purposes of the trip was to assess what resources, including plants, were in the lands to the west.

Carol Lucas is an herbalist in Gearhart and considers herself a “plant person.” She became serious about medicinal herbs after having a major turnaround in a serious health crisis, for which conventional medicine had no answers. For more information on In Their Footsteps, read here.

Under statute set by the Oregon State Legislature, ODFW can offer eight days of free fishing each year.

While ODFW had originally planned to offer free fishing Dec. 31, 2017-Jan. 1, 2018, the Department has cancelled those dates to stay within the eight-day limit in 2018 and to offer free fishing during months when fishing conditions are better.
