Summer means that the kids are out of school and it’s time for fun in the sun! Better make your plans now because the summer has a way of flying by too fast. If you’re looking for fun local family-friendly events in our area, these are the top 2019 Summer events for Clatsop County.

Astoria Sunday Market

The Astoria Saturday Market provides locally made handicrafts, fresh produce, all kinds of art, music, food, and more in a cool downtown street market. When you’re finished at the market, wander through the downtown shops full of interesting goods and services. There is plenty of parking downtown and the nearby “River Walk” along the waterfront, along with the fun Astoria Trolley, boost the already festive atmosphere.

Cottage Tour

The Cottage Tour is for “history hounds, architecture enthusiasts and the coastally curious.” Put your walking shoes on and enjoy a tour through Cannon Beach’s loveliest homes and gardens.  Sunset Magazine calls it the “best autumn event” in Cannon Beach. You’ll enjoy stunning views on this self-guided walking tour. Many homes featured in previous tours received awards in renowned magazines and newspapers like Oregon Home Magazine, The Oregonian, Sunset Magazine, and Oregon Coast Magazine. Enjoy wine tasting, live music, local art, and more!

Earth and Arts Festival

Celebrate the natural wonders of Cannon Beach through the works of talented local artists. The Earth & Ocean Arts Festival provides the inspiration for exciting new art while giving back to the fragile environment that sustains us. Performance and studio artists create and perform throughout Cannon Beach during the festival and inspire onlookers with their vision. Portions of the proceeds are donated to various non-profits committed to protecting the environment.
